Today was the final day for PGA tour Australia Q-school first stage.
I had rounds of 69, 74, 69 for a total of -4 to finish 3rd place.
I successfully qualified through to final stage which is held in Melbourne on January.
Today, I also had another hole-in-one!!!
This is my 4th one this year, and 7th in my life.
It couldn’t have come at a better timing!
Thank you everyone for the support!!
This afternoon this huge storm hit us!
There was a lightning bolt every few seconds so I had to finish practice earlier than usual to avoid getting hit on course….
Hopefully the course isn’t too wet because I have a pro-am tournament tomorrow at a course near by.
The last few months my putting has improved quite a bit thanks to this drill!!
It is really simple; putting on a 1m steel ruler.
If you are able to roll the first meter straight towards where you’re aiming, short putts couldn’t be more easier!!
Just placing a ball in the middle of the ruler and putting it down the center gives you great feedback on how you hit the putt.
It really is a simple but a great drill, so give it a go if you can!!
The last few days there has been some incredibly high wind on the Gold Coast.
They are currently playing the Australian PGA championships on the Gold Cost, but the conditions are so tough the leader is still at -3 after 2 days!!
Yesterday during practice, although I was hitting floater balls (balls that float on water) on the range, my 9 iron only flew 75 yards with my full swing into the wind…
However, this is perfect in order to prepare for playing in Melbourne as these conditions are very common over there.
Today is also going to be another windy day so it’s perfect to practice stinger/knock down shots!!
Also, here are some pictures from yesterdays sunset!!!
The Gold Coast is getting hotter by the day. The humidity is also rising as we have entered storm season (December & January).
Today I went for a practice round at a local golf course. It was so hot even 4 bottles of water didn’t last me 18 holes!!
I also came across some bird bathing in some water it made me want to join as well…
I also think pool training isn’t a bad idea during this time of the year..
