Spieth’s mentality

So Jordan Spieth wins again…
Only about a month ago he let the Masters slip through his grasp on the back 9 on Sunday.
Many would have difficulties leaving that in the past or even being traumatised.
However, him winning only a month after really proves how strong he is mentally, and I think it is something every golfer should learn from!
I absolutely admire him as a player not only the way he plays but also his mental toughness!!

Winter is here…

In the last month while I was away, the Gold Coast has become much more colder!
Although it is still warmer compared to Japan’s winter, the mornings are usually just above 10°C.
Moreover, the daylight is getting shorter and shorter everyday!

The weather in the past week has been absolutely perfect for golf.
Apparently it rained last night and it was the first time in a month!!

Usually this is dry season and bushfires are very common here.
I few days ago there was a bushfire in the area and everything was very smoggy for a couple of days!

Practice!!

Its been a couple of days since I got back into my normal daily practice routine!
I’ve been working on improving my swing (especially backswing) to be able to use my body more efficiently and increase my distance along with my ball control.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time on the putting green to make my stroke more consistent as I found that I hit quite a few pulls for my miss putts during tournament rounds.

I can’t wait to finish improving my game and playing more tournaments!

Back to practice!!

After I got back from Perth, I took a few days off to refresh!
I spent the last few days Jet Skiing, sleeping in and meeting up with my friends from school for the first time in 2.5 years!!!
It was great to be able to take a bit of time to get my mind off golf.

Tomorrow I fully get back into practice and training to improve my game and prepare for my next tournaments which start in August!!
