Preparation!

Its July from tomorrow, which also means theres only one month until my first tour event of the second half of this season!
My swing is coming on well and now its time to get my on course game preparation on.
I’ll be spending a lot more time out on course as I have spent most of this past month on the driving range and short game areas.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how much I’ve improved!

Mini foam roller

I have been looking for a mini foam roll for so long, and today I finally found one at the shops!!
These are great to take around with while on tour and a great tool to get ready with before a round!

Super strong winds!

So today on the Gold Coast the wind was ridiculously strong!
The pins were bending in the wind and my putts were literally rolling UP the slope!

Although it won’t get as cold as Japan during winter, the temperatures are currently dropping to about 7°c during the night!
However, it does get a little warmer during the day as it rises to about 15-20°c which you can play golf in a polo shirt or wearing a thin sweater.

It was the 21st of June a couple of days ago, which also is the shortest day of the year (or longest in the northern hemisphere).
So each day from now should be getting longer and longer for me now!
The tournament season starts again in August so I will be getting my golf ready for tournament golf soon!

US Open Champion!

So Dustin Johnson finally wins a major!
He has had so many close calls the past couple of years but always had let it slip in the end.
Watching that final day, especially when he got penalised for the ball moving, proves how mentally strong he is to be able to complete the round without falling apart.
Such a great win and I am sure that will not be his last major as well!
Hopefully I can be the one playing against him in the near future!

My spectators…

So while I was practicing on the driving range today, more and more kangaroos decided to show up and watch me hit balls!
I have been in Australia for over 10 years but I still am amazed every time I encounter one…
